Our house is located in the village of Woolley Moor, which is about 4.5 miles from Matlock, 7 from Chesterfield and about a mile from Ashover.
The cottage was a farmworkers cottage, built of stone, in about 1855. Originally a one up one down, we extended it during 2000 and 2001, to make a 3 bedroom, 2 reception room, family house. It sits in aproximately 1/6 to 1/5 acre plot, which we have kept fairly naturalistic. The wildlife in the garden includes Badgers occasionally, Hedgehogs, Woodpeckers and many other bird species.

The 1st floor has two double bedrooms, and a family bathroom. The 2nd floor is a loft conversion, with two Velux windows and is a single bedroom. The conversion is fully approved for habitation.
Heating is by gas combi boiler, and a multi-fuel stove for the sitting room.
Outside is a driveway with room for two medium cars, small front garden, and to the side of the dining room a stone patio area, leading to the main garden, shown in picture 5.
There are stunning views from most rooms, of Ogston Reservoir, and from the back , of High Ordish and Cocking Tor.
